Welcome to Elden PTA!
PTA - Working Together to Build a Better Tomorrow...Today
The 2010‐2011 school year is going to be the best year! At the beginning of school I know each one of us is nervous and excited, we want the kids, teachers, staff, and parents to know the PTA is here for all of you. We will help teach our kids throughout the year with PARP and enrichment. It’s most important to make sure our kids are smiling and having fun, so we will have our ice cream social, dance and field days. This is going to be a GREAT year at ELDEN! I would encourage all of you to become a member of the Elden PTA. Becoming a member and volunteering are great ways to get involved with the school and with your child’s education. The students love to see their parents helping out at school. It only takes a moment to become a member and any amount of time you can volunteer to the PTA is greatly appreciated. Please return the membership form included with this newsletter. Please come to the first PTA meeting on Tuesday, September, 14 at 7:00 in the Elden Cafeteria (APR). Free childcare is provided – all children are welcome – meetings are usually about an hour. The first meeting is very important as we are discussing the upcoming events. We need all of you to come and share your ideas on the school year and all the events. During the first week of school, your child is bringing home a folder provided by your Elden
PTA to be used throughout the year. Please complete all of the forms and return them to
school ASAP. REMEMBER TO ALL CHILDREN: BRING YOUR FAMILY TO THE ICE CREAM SOCIAL AND BOOK FAIR. THE DAY IS THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 16 ANYTIME BETWEEN 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM. THIS WILL BE A GREAT TIME FOR YOU TO REUNITE WITH OLD FRIENDS AND MAKE NEW FRIENDS WHILE ENJOYING “FREE” ICE CREAM WITH YOUR FAMILY. THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A GREAT TRADITION THE PTA LOVES AT ELDEN ‐ THE STUDENTS START THE YEAR OUT WITH A SMILE. Together, we can all help our children learn and grow so that the future for them is as bright as the smile on their face. Our students will have a year full of memories to last a life time. I Look forward to meeting you at the first PTA meeting. |
